01How do I cancel my subscription?+
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not Baby Soma. On iPhone open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Baby Soma → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep premium features until then. We never bill you again after a cancellation. If you cannot find the subscription in your Apple ID, write to us at support@babysoma.app and we will help you locate it.
02I subscribed on the website - how do I cancel, and can I close my account?+
Everything you buy on babysoma.app is tied to an account that you control at any time. To cancel a card subscription, open your account at babysoma.app/account, sign in and use "Manage subscription" to cancel - you keep Premium until the end of the paid period and we never charge you again. Crypto payments are one-time, so there is nothing to cancel: access simply ends when the paid period is over. And you can close your account and delete all your data whenever you want - email support@babysoma.app from your account email with the subject "Delete my account" and we remove everything within 7 days.
03How do I delete my account?+
Email support@babysoma.app from the address you used in the app and write “Delete my account” in the subject. Include the child profile name if you want it confirmed in the reply. We delete your authentication account, all child profiles, sleep sessions, feedings, family chat, and AI consultant history within 7 days, in line with our Privacy Policy. After deletion the same email can sign up again as a brand-new account.
04The app is not tracking sleep correctly - what should I do?+
Most tracking issues are timezone or background-fetch related. First check that your phone’s timezone matches your current location and that Baby Soma is allowed to run in the background (iOS Settings → Baby Soma → Background App Refresh). If a session is wrong, tap it in History → Edit and adjust the start/end time manually. If sessions still look off after that, send us a screenshot of the affected day and we will diagnose it together.
05How do I add a second parent or caregiver?+
Open Settings → Family → Invite. Enter the partner’s email or phone number and pick their role. They will get a deep link that opens Baby Soma and connects to the same child profile. Both adults then see the same sleep timeline, feedings, and chat in real time. You can revoke access at any time from the same screen. Family sharing is free for the first guardian; additional guardians are part of premium.
06Is my data backed up?+
Yes. All sleep sessions, feedings, growth measurements and chat messages are stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) and synced across every device signed into the same account. If you reinstall Baby Soma or switch phones, sign in with the same Apple ID or email and your full history reappears within seconds. We do not keep a local-only mode - every entry is mirrored to the cloud automatically.
07How do I restore a purchase?+
Open Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Baby Soma re-checks your Apple ID for any active subscription and re-enables premium. This is the same flow Apple recommends after restoring a backup or signing in on a new device. If Restore Purchases does not bring premium back even though your Apple subscription is active, send us the receipt (Apple → Settings → your name → Purchase History) and we will reconcile it on our side.
08What does the AI consultant do?+
The AI consultant is a chat that knows your baby’s age, current schedule, recent sleep, and the patterns we see across thousands of families. Ask it about wake windows, short naps, regressions, bedtime resistance, or any specific situation and it returns concrete, age-aware suggestions in seconds. It does not replace a pediatrician - for medical questions please consult a doctor - but for routine sleep guidance it is built to give you something actionable right now, in plain language.
09Which devices are supported?+
Baby Soma runs on iPhone with iOS 16 or newer and on Apple Watch as a companion to the iPhone app. The Android version is in active development and uses the same backend, so existing iPhone families will be able to share a child profile with an Android co-parent at launch. The web at babysoma.app shows news, support and policies but is not a replacement for the iOS app - sleep tracking happens on the device.
Working with families across English-speaking time zones
Most of our English-speaking users are in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Sleep questions in this group cluster around four scenarios that arrive almost every week: daycare drop-offs that cut into the morning nap window, the spring-forward and fall-back transitions in March and November, jet lag during transatlantic family visits, and the four-month regression that lands during return-to-work for many US parents on a 12-week leave.
We answer English support requests across Pacific and Eastern US time, with a back-up reviewer in London for early UK mornings. If you write outside business hours, expect a reply within 24 hours and a same-day response when your billing is mid-renewal. App Store refund requests have to go through Apple directly - Baby Soma cannot process refunds on Apple’s behalf - but we can confirm exactly which subscription you have and on which Apple ID, and walk you through the Apple "Report a Problem" flow if you need it.
